We are looking for a high energy, team oriented, results driven individual to take responsibility for product configuration loading and testing. This individual will work alongside engineering and quality to verify products are functional at the component level, built to the engineering drawings, and perform system level test to verify kit set prior to shipment. While an understanding of avionics and aviation technology (specifically Health Usage and Monitoring Systems) will help, being self-motivated to succeed, a quick learner and naturally curious are most important.

Locations: 

This position is based out of our headquarters in Waterbury, VT.

Compensation: 

Compensation plan will include salary and full benefits. Overall compensation package will be based on experience.  We want to hire someone who is motivated and confident in their ability to be successful in this role.

Management:

Position reports to the Director of Quality and Manufacturing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Load software and firmware to sensors / modems
  • Perform system test to ensure functionality
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing / assembly errors
  • Track work orders through load / test process
  • Maintain historical records of work orders
  • Support quality to determine root cause / corrective action for manufacturing / assembly errors
  • Inspect machined components / assemblies
  • Develop streamlined processes with hardware / software engineers for performing test
  • Provide suggestions for product and equipment improvement
  • Conduct regular maintenance on test fixtures
  • Respond to inquiries on work order status
  • Develop process control documentation for repeatable, compliant build/test

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills is required
  • Must be able to understand engineering drawings
  • Must have strong analytical skills and advanced math skills
  • AS/BA/BS degree in Engineering (or 5+ years of experience in a technical role)
  • Must enjoy the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a small company fast growing company and possess a positive attitude
  • Experience supporting ISO9001/AS9100 certification is a plus
  • Experience drafting engineering drawings is a plus

Lead the request for quote process and contract negotiations to deliver best cost and quality. While an understanding of avionics and aviation technology (specifically Health Usage and Monitoring Systems) will help, being self-motivated to succeed, a quick learner and naturally curious are most important.

    Responsibilities

    • Place purchase orders
    • Track orders until delivery
    • Develop and manage vendor relationships
    • Develop safety stock levels
    • Monitor inventory and place orders to maintain safety stock levels
    • Develop future state procurement processes
    • Identify obsolescence and recommend activity based on marketplace availability
    • Conduct vendor delivery assessments
    • Develop scorecard for critical vendors
    • Respond to inquiries on order status, changes, or cancellations

    Requirements

    • Excellent organizational, teamwork, and negotiating skills are required
    • Must have strong analytical skills
    • BA/BS degree (or 5+ years’ experience in direct buying role)
    • Must enjoy the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a small company fast growing company and possess a positive attitude
    • Experience implementing ERP/MRP is a plus
    • Experience supporting ISO9001/AS9100 certification is a plus
