Systems Engineer
OPPORTUNITY
GPMS is seeking a multi-disciplined Systems Engineer to work directly under the Chief Engineer and drive the continued development of the company’s core technology and its applications. While a background in aviation technology is useful, and a knowledge of vibration-based condition monitoring systems ideal, fundamentally we need a systems-oriented engineer with strong capabilities in math, electrical engineering, software, and mechanical engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement diagnostics strategy and develop models and algorithms derived from underlying physics to evaluate the condition of electro-mechanical systems.
- Create predictive models of physical degradation and data-driven prognostics algorithms to assess the health and performance of critical components.
- Conduct R&D on Prognostic Health Monitoring, Prognostics & Predictive Maintenance (PPMx) and Condition Based Maintenance (CBM)
- Conduct data analysis and interpret sensor data
- Support field testing and validation efforts in real-world environments
- Manage and build diagnostics/prognostics configurations for new and existing platforms
- Develop and adapt hardware + software systems for new platforms (air, land, and sea)
- Supporting system users with troubleshooting and fault validation
- Identify new capabilities to facilitate proactive fleet monitoring
- Incorporate feedback into product development and develop Product Roadmap
- Stay current with advancements in the field, particularly in the areas of data-driven prognostics and physics-based machine learning
REQUIREMENTS
- MS in Systems, Electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- Educational / work experience in either Aviation OR Condition Monitoring
- Strong background in probability, statistics, signal processing, and predictive modeling
- Proficient in data-driven methods, Regression, Machine Learning, etc.
- Familiarity with fault detection and diagnosis methods, and reliability analysis
- Data architectures and data analysis
- Programming skills, preferably Java and C/C#
- Linear algebra
- Digital signal processing
- Linear systems circuits
- Knowledge and application of physical principles and some aerodynamics
- Statistics/probability theory
- Test bench hardware debug
- Matlab©
- Excellent organizational, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills is required
Additional Desired Skills
- Knowledge of rotating machinery diagnostics and vibrational analysis
- Work experience in aerospace systems, components, and their failure modes
- Work experience directly related to the development of Flight Data Monitoring, Machine Condition Monitoring, or Integrated Vehicle Health Monitoring Systems
You don’t need everything on this list! If you have never done Fast Fourier Transforms and Time Synchronous Averages that is OK. The most important requirement is that you are smart, knowledgeable, quick to learn, and curious.
MANAGEMENT & LOCATIONS:
Position reports to the Chief Engineer.
This position is based out of our headquarters 30 minutes from Burlington, Vermont, but can be remote for the right candidate. The position requires travel (5-10%) to the field and partner locations. US Citizens or US work-permit holders only.
COMPENSATION:
$120,000 - $165,000 a year. Salary and overall compensation package will be based on experience. Compensation includes salary and full benefits.

Customer Success Representative
OPPORTUNITY: GPMS seeks a motivated and resourceful individual to join the Customer Success Team. They will serve as a point of contact for inquiries, concerns, and support related to our Foresight MX HUMS product and services. The primary function of this role is to ensure a positive customer experience, resolve issues efficiently, and uphold the company's reputation for excellent service.
PRODUCT: GPMS offers a next-generation, predictive Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) designed to give operators of high-value equipment the power to "Know before it matters." Our flagship solution, Foresight MX™, provides predictive maintenance insights to optimize maintenance, safety, and operations. MANAGEMENT: Position reports to the Customer Success Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Become proficient in the Foresight MX HUMS installations on various vehicle platforms.
- Become proficient with the Foresight MX HUMS User Interface and related customer support tools.
- Interact with customers in response to inquiries and assist with troubleshooting.
- Identify, assess, and resolve customer issues promptly and effectively, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Travel to worldwide customer locations to support installations and other projects.
- Accurately document all customer interactions, issues, and resolutions in the CRM system.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be an effective communicator to support positive interactions with a diverse customer base.
- Ability to speak in front of groups and administer training.
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage overlapping duties effectively.
- Must be a self-starter that can manage their time efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
- Available to travel domestically and internationally.
- Ability to work after regular business hours and on weekends as customer needs dictate.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years in aviation maintenance, preferably in avionics.
- Preference given to those with previous HUMS, customer support, and training experience.
